You can arrive comfortably and sustainably by train: Take the train to Obertraun-Dachsteinhöhlen or Hallstatt station. From there, the free ski bus takes you directly to the valley station of the Bergbahnen Dachstein Krippenstein.

Whether wide-open freeride terrain, sunny runs or moments of winter silence in the mountains – Dachstein Krippenstein is a special place for winter 2025/26. High above, away from the crowds, and easily accessible by public transport.

In winter you can use the OÖVV ski bus to the Dachstein Krippenstein ski area for free!

What do you need? Simply a winter sports outfit including equipment (winter gear).

This means you can use the ski bus for free on the entire route of bus lines 542 and 543 during the winter season as part of the cable car winter operating hours - regardless of whether to the pistes or back again.

From Hallstatt Lahn (bus terminal), you can take lines 543 & 544 every hour to the valley station of the Dachstein Krippenstein mountain railways in Obertraun in just 10 minutes – and back again.
