Open-air cinema at Krippenstein – Silent Cinema

Enjoy a special open-air cinema experience against the impressive mountain backdrop of Dachstein Krippenstein on 6 September 2026. Shortly after sunset, the film begins beneath the open sky. Wireless headphones provide an individual sound experience during the Silent Cinema. After the film, a special late-night cable car ride will take you comfortably back down to the valley.

You can use your cable car ticket to travel up to Krippenstein in the morning and spend the entire day at Dachstein Krippenstein before the film begins.
Take the opportunity to visit the 5fingers viewing platform and the World Heritage Spiral, hike the Heilbronn Circular Trail with the Dachstein Shark or enjoy a relaxing break at one of the mountain restaurants.
The open-air film begins at Krippenstein shortly after sunset at 7:45 pm.
The film lasts approximately 2 hours.
The late-night cable car descent takes place immediately after the film.
Please bring warm clothing, as temperatures on the mountain can be cool even in summer.

In the event of bad weather, the event will be postponed to 7 September 2026.
Tickets already purchased will remain valid.

All prices are in euros and include 10% VAT.
Prices are valid for the 2026 summer season.
A valid ticket is required to attend the Mountain Cinema.
The wireless headphones for the Silent Cinema will be provided directly at Krippenstein on the day of the event.

In the event of bad weather, the event will take place on the alternative date of 7 September 2026. Tickets already purchased will remain valid.
Please bring warm clothing, as temperatures on the mountain can be cool even in summer.
Dogs must be kept on a lead and wear a muzzle. Tickets for dogs are available from the online shop or ticket office.
The parking fee is not included in the ticket price.
