For early tourers, snowshoe hikers and hut sitters who get up early in the morning, from 27.02.2026 always at the weekend (Friday, Saturday + Sunday) and bank holiday until the end of the season there will be the popular early cable car ride at 7:30 am in the morning.

Early tourers rides:

  • Date: Friday, Saturday + Sunday and bank holiday*

  • Time: early cable car ride at 7:30 am (only ascent)

* until end of winter season at 30.03.2025

Operation: cable cars & lift facilities

  • First cable car ascent from 8:30 am (section 1)

  • Ski lift operation: from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

Winter operations
PLEASE NOTE!

The planned early tourers ride from 20 February 2026 (FRI, SAT, SUN) will NOT take place until further notice due to the low snow cover off-piste. We are looking forward to lots of natural snow and skiing will of course take place daily with the valley run open from 8.30 am!

Equipment

Must have equipment off piste

Good equipment (avalanche transceiver, helmet, rucksack with snow shovel, avalanche probe and First aid kit) is an absolute "must have" in the terrain! Ski rental Dachstein sport Janu ready-stocked rucksack, skins, etc. can be conveniently borrowed!
