Cable car operating times, Summer 2012
The sections of the cable car line operate as follows:
Section I 28.04. – 28.10.2012
Section II 05.05. – 28.10.2012
Section III 16.06. – 28.10.2012
The first journey up the mountain is possible at 8.40 a.m.!

Opening times for the caves
Ice cave
The Ice Cave is open from 28 April until 28 October 2012. Tours run from 28.04. to 15.06. and 03.09. to 28.10. continuously from 9.20 a.m. until 4.00 p.m. and from 16.06 to 02.09. continously from 9.20 a.m. until 4.30 p.m. Please take note of the information at the Schönbergalm where you can find out the exact time of your tour. The meeting point for the tours is directly in-front of the cave. We recommend planning the mountain ascent for 3.30 p.m. at the latest.
Mammut Cave
The Mammut Cave is open until 28 October 2012. Tours run continuously from 10.15 a.m. until 2.30 p.m. and from 16. June to 02. September continously from 09.15 a.m. until 3.00 p.m. Please take note of the information at the Schönbergalm where you can find out the exact time of your tour. The meeting point for the tours is directly in-front of the cave. We recommend planning the mountain ascent for 2.00 p.m.at the latest.
Koppenbrüller Cave
Open from 05 May 2012. The Koppenbrüller Cave is open until 30 September 2012. The tours take place at least hourly and run from 9.00 a.m. til 4.00 p.m.
Please note! Last mountain ascent for cave visitors!

Recommendation: We recommend you to take the asecent at least 14.00 a.m. if you would like to visit both caves (Ice and Mammut cave)!

Given the Alpine location of the Dachstein, one or more attractions may have to be closed for operational reasons or due to the poor weather conditions.
