How do I get to Ice cave?
You will need to take the Dachstein World Heritage cable car along section 1. The walk to the cave from here follows a route which is partly tarmaced.

Duration of tour approx. 50 minutes. Tour route: 800 m long, 80 m height difference (steps)
How do I get to the Mammut Cave?
You will need to take the Dachstein World Heritage cable car along section 1. The walk to the cave from here follows a gravel path.

How do I get to the Koppenbrüller Cave?
The Koppenbrüller Cave is located in the valley, on the edge of Obertraun. A romantic woodland trail along the river Traun will take you to the cave entrance in no time. Those taking part in a cave trekking tour should meet at the wooden hut opposite the Gasthaus Koppenrast guesthouse.
Duration of tour approx. 45 minutes. Tour route: 700 m, 40 m altitude difference
What should I wear?
The caves may only be visited if accompanied by an experienced guide. Wear robust shoes and warm clothing to ensure you enjoy your cave experience to the full!
Temperatures: Ice Cave -2°C, Mammut Cave +3°C, Koppenbrüller Cave +6 °C
Are tours held in other languages too?
Yes, of course. All tours are available in German and English. On request, group tours in Italian, Spanish, French and Czech can also be held.
From what age may children visit the caves?
There is no lower age limit for children visiting the Dachstein caves! KIDS are welcome!
What about my dog!
Dogs wearing a muzzle are permitted on the cable car and in the caves.
